Renerdish Podcast presents Comedy Night at Imbibe. Wednesday May 24th at 7pm we bring you 3 new comedians. Headlining is Cory Michaelis.
According to a bunch of girls he’s dated, Cory Michaelis will shock you with some of the things he says but do it in a way that you’ll still find him charming. He talks about his high school sweetheart and former wife, his new girlfriends, and his unique day job and co-workers in a way that he wouldn’t want any of them to hear. Cory is a regular in all of the clubs in the Pacific Northwest, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas, and headlines comedy clubs, casinos, colleges, and weird bars all over the country. He has been invited to the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, Oregon, the Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington, Indiana, and headlined the Idaho Laugh Fest in Boise. He didn’t win the 2013 World Series of Comedy (semi-finals), the 2012 Seattle International Comedy Competition (SICC), the Washington Comedy Festival (semi-finals), the 2014 Tacoma Comedy Contest (2nd), or the 2016 Laughing Devil Comedy Festival in New York City (finals) but he took another crack at the SICC and made the 2014 finals. And Louie Anderson (who he has opened for in Vegas multiple times) says “you’re funny, why do you always make fun of Roze?” – come see what Louie's talkin' about.

Our featured act this evening is Timmy Booth. Timmy Booth is a stand-up based in Seattle, Washington. His comedy story began in Wilmington, NC. It was 2009. He entered his college's "Last Seahawk Standing" competition over a bet. He won the bet, and the contest, and received a shocked "Oh no you didn't!" phone call from his mom. Timmy became a regular opener for the Dead Crow Comedy Club. He performed before talented touring comedians including Maria Bamford, Alonzo Bodden, Sara Schaefer. He also performed in the Cape Fear Comedy Festival and Charleston Comedy Competition Finals. He is now a co-producer of Seattle's coziest comedy showcase, Close Friends. Last week his car's check engine light turned off on its own.

This great night of laughs will be hosted by Brandon Popson. As always admission is free and wonderful beer will be flowing. All shows so far have been standing room only so please get there early to secure a seat.
